Vermicelli biryani


                                                              Vermicelli Biryani


Carrot finely chopped                                          1 no.

Roasted vermicelli                                               1 cup

Beans finely chopped                                          ¼ cup

Boiled peas                                                            ¼ cup

Onion finely chopped                                          1 no.

Tomato finely chopped                                        1 no.

Ginger finely chopped                                         1 tsp.

Garlic finely chopped                                           1 tsp.

Chilli powder                                                         ¾ tsp.

Garam masala powder                                         ½ tsp.

Whole garam masala for seasoning

Ghee                                                                         2 tsp.

Oil                                                                             2 tsp.

Mint and coriander leaves finely chopped      ¼ cup

Required salt




  • Heat a pressure cooker with oil. Once the oil heats, add whole garam masala. Then add the chopped onions. Saute well.
  • Then add  chopped ginger and garlic. Saute well. Then add  tomatoes. Saute well. Then add all the vegetables and powders. Mix it well. Then add 1 cup of water and let it boil.
  • Once all the veggies are cooked well, add mint and coriander leaves. Saute well.
  • Then add 2 cups of water. Add the roasted vermicelli and salt. Cook it in medium flame. Once the vermicelli cooks well, switch off the flame. Add ghee. Mix it well.


                                                     Garnish with mint and coriander leaves.

                                                                          Serve it with onion raita.
