Veg Masala
Ingredients
Big onion sliced 2 no
Tomato chopped 1 no
Capsicum chopped 1 no
Carrot chopped 1 no
Beans chopped 1 no
Green peas boiled 1/4 cup
Potato boiled 1 no
Green chili sliced 4 no
Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
Required salt
Coriander & Mint leaves for garnish
For grind
Roasted gram dal 4 tbsp (pottu kadalai)
Fennel seeds 1 tsp
Cinnamon 1 small piece
For seasoning
Oil 2 tbsp
Fennel seeds 1 tsp
Cinnamon 1 small piece
Curry leaves 1 sprig
Method
- First grind the given items in a fine powder. In a mixing bowl add this powder and 1/4 cup water. Mix it well without any lumps. keep it aside.
- Heat a kadai with oil, once oil heats add fennel seeds and cinnamon. Then add curry leaves.
- Then add sliced onion and green chilies. saute well.
- Then add all the veggies except potato. saute well.
- Then add turmeric powder and salt. Mix it well.
- Add 1 cup water. let it boil. once all the veggies are cooked well, then add ground paste and 1 cup of water. mix it well. cook for 1 min,then add mashed potato and mix it well. switch off the flame.
Garnish with coriander and mint leaves.
Serve it with poori or chappathi.
