          Tomato                                  3 no

          Moong dal                             ¼ cup

          Small onion                           6 no

          Green chili                            4 no

          Sambar powder                    1 tbsp

          Turmeric powder                   ½ tsp

          Hing                                       ½ tsp

 For reasoning

          Oil                                          1 tbsp

          Mustard seeds                       1 tsp

          Curry leaves                          1 sprig


    •  First pressure cook the moong dal and tomatoes together for 1 whistle. After pressure release mash it well. Keep it aside.
  •  Heat a pan with oil, once oil heats add mustard seeds. Once seeds are popped add curry leaves and chopped small onion. Saute well. Add ½ cup of water. Then add all the powders. Mix it well.  Let it boil. Once the raw smell goes add mashed dal and tomato. Add enough water and salt. Let it boil for 2 min. Switch off the flame. Garnish with Coriander leaves.

                        Serve it with Idli or Dosa
