                    Ribbon pakoda


      Gram flour                                1 cup

      Rice flour                                   2cup

      Butter                                        4 tsp

      Hing                                            ¼ tsp

      Oil                                               for deep fry

      Required salt

For grind

      Red chili                                    9 or 10 no

      Garlic                                         1 small piece

      Curry leaves                              8 leaves


1.       First soak the chili in hot water for 10 min. grind all the items in a fine paste. Keep it aside.

2.       In a mixing bowl add all the powders, hing, butter, red chil paste and salt. Add little water to make a soft dough.

3.       Add dough in ribbon pakoda press. Heat oil in the kadai, carefully press a pakoda in the kadai. Deep fry till the pakoda turns slightly brown. Drain in the paper towel. Cool down to room temperature.

                           Store it in an air tight container.
