Egg cake thoku


Egg                                               3 no

Big onion finely chopped         1 no

Tomato puree                            ½ cup

Coriander powder                     1 tsp

Chili powder                               ¾ tsp

Garam masala powder             ½ tsp

Ginger garlic paste                    1 tsp

Mustard seeds                           1 tsp

Curry leaves                                1 strand

Coriander leaves                        for garnish

Required salt


For egg cake

  1. Grease the small bowl with little oil. Beat the eggs well with salt and pepper powder. Transfer it to airtight box. In a pressure cookware add little water. Put the egg bowl in to the cookware. Pressure cook for 2 whistles. After pressure release cool down the egg bowl to room temperature. After cooling down carefully cut the egg. Keep it aside.

For gravy

  1. Heat a pan with oil. Once oil heats, add mustard seeds. Once the seeds are popped, add curry leaves and chopped onion. Saute well.
  2. And then add ginger garlic paste and tomato puree. Saute well. then add all the powders and salt. Mix it well. cover it and cook well.
  3. And then add egg cake. Mix it well. garnish with coriander leaves.

Serve it with rice or chappathi.
