Egg cake thoku
Ingredients
Egg 3 no
Big onion finely chopped 1 no
Tomato puree ½ cup
Coriander powder 1 tsp
Chili powder ¾ tsp
Garam masala powder ½ tsp
Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
Mustard seeds 1 tsp
Curry leaves 1 strand
Coriander leaves for garnish
Required salt
MethodFor egg cake
- Grease the small bowl with little oil. Beat the eggs well with salt and pepper powder. Transfer it to airtight box. In a pressure cookware add little water. Put the egg bowl in to the cookware. Pressure cook for 2 whistles. After pressure release cool down the egg bowl to room temperature. After cooling down carefully cut the egg. Keep it aside.
For gravy
- Heat a pan with oil. Once oil heats, add mustard seeds. Once the seeds are popped, add curry leaves and chopped onion. Saute well.
- And then add ginger garlic paste and tomato puree. Saute well. then add all the powders and salt. Mix it well. cover it and cook well.
- And then add egg cake. Mix it well. garnish with coriander leaves.
Serve it with rice or chappathi.
