Mango rice

Ingredients

Shredded mango                                      ¾ cup

Shredded coconut                                    ½ cup

Peanut                                                        1 tbsp

Gram dal                                                     1 tbsp

Urad dal                                                      1 tsp

Curry leaves                                                1 strand

Mustard leaves                                           1 tsp

Coconut oil                                                  1 tbsp

Ghee                                                             1 tbsp

Green chili                                                   4 no

Cooked rice                                                  2 cups

Required salt

Method

  1. Heat a kadai  with coconut oil.
  2. Add mustard seeds, gram dal, urad dal, peanut and curry leaves.
  3. Fry till the dals are golden brown.
  4. Add green chili and shredded mango. Saute for a while.
  5. Add shredded coconut. Saute till the coconut turns slightly brown.
  6. Add cooked rice and salt. Add ghee. Mix it well.

Serve it with Papad.
