Sapota kesari (chikoo fruit kesari)
Ingredients
Rava ½ cup
Nattu sakkarai ½ cup
Cardamom powder ¼ tsp
Ghee ¼ cup
Oil 3 tbsp
Cashew nut 15 no
Raisins 6 no
Sapota pulp ½ cup
Method
- First heat a vessel with oil and ghee. Once ghee heats, add cashews. Saute well.
- Then add raisins. Fry till nuts and raisins turns golden brown. Then drain the nuts and keep it aside.
- In the same pan add rava. Roast it well. Then add 1 and ¼ cup of hot water. Mix it well.
- Let it boil. Then add cardamom powder. Keep stirring without any lumps.
- Once it cooks well, add sapota pulp. Mix it well. Then add fried nuts and raisins. Mix it well. Switch off the flame.
Serve hot.
